The Minister for Education CS George Magoha announced postponement of school opening by a month. Kenyan schools were supposed to re-open on 4th May 2020 after an early closure but will now open on 1st June 2020 schools.

The CS reminded Kenyans that the national exams for KCPE and KCSE have not been postponed and are still on schedule.
